Second Order Reaction Rate Constant

A = cm3s-1
A = cm3mol-1s-1
EA/R = K
EA = kJ mol-1
EA = kcal mol-1
T = K
T = °C
B =
TR = K
k = cm3s-1
k = cm3mol-1s-1

The results have been rounded to significant digits.

The second-order reactions are chemical reactions which depend on either the concentrations of two first-order reactants or the concentration of one-second order reactant.

To perform the calculation, the pre-exponential factor A and the temperature T must be given. For a temperature dependence (T/TR)B, the reference temperature TR and the exponent B must also be given. For a temperature dependence exp(-EA/RT) you have to add input for EA/R or EA.

How to Use:
Type the values of the parameters from the equation into their fields with the corresponding unit. The calculator will show corresponding conversion unit for the input data. Fields of parameters that are not needed should be left blank. Use the “reset” button to reset your calculation.

The names of each unit or a parameter can be read if clicked on by your mouse.
